Mommy and Daddy's Little Blockhead

Briana has an alphabet floor puzzle that we use as a playmat in front of her toybox. She recently discovered that it's a puzzle, and now enjoys tearing it apart! She also finds it really funny, when Mommy and Daddy build block hats for her to wear!

The other night Briana was "missing". When Daddy went to find her, this is what he found.

Briana loves her kitty, and Moxie tolerates that love quite well. Generally, wherever you find one of them, you will find the other (even at bathtime, Moxie stands at the side of the tub while Briana tries to splash her).

11 Months Old!

It's getting hard for Mommy to accept that Briana is growing up, and that she will soon have her first birthday!

Briana's recent accomplishments include:

• Taking her first wobbly steps
• Stringing words together to form short sentences, her current favorite is "I see it!"
• Getting her 7th tooth
• Outgrowing her ducky tub
• Further stealing Mommy and Daddy's hearts

With every day that passes Briana is becoming more and more independent, and her individuality is more pronounced. It's amazing to see her change from day to day, and week to week. In some ways it seems like so long ago that she was a newborn, that it's hard to remember her as a tiny baby, yet in other ways it seems like just yesterday that we were preparing for her arrival, and then bringing her home from the hospital. How quickly she has grown!

It's a bird? It's a penguin? It's Briana!!!

Briana has developed a certain fondness lately for pengiuns. It began with the penguin that she received as a Christmas gift from her daycare provider. It continued when Grammy and Grandpa gave her a zoo for Christmas that included a penguin. Penguin is a hard word to say, so Briana calls them "birds". She loves her birds!

Mommy thought it might be cute to make Briana a hat that depicts her passion. Please enjoy our baby bird!
