I see Briana looking at me!!

Briana loves it when Mommy and Daddy read to her, but now she also likes to read by herself. She has aquired quite a collection of books already, with some of her favorites being, Dr. Seuss' ABC Book, Guess How Much I Love You, Goodnight Moon, and Brown Bear Brown Bear. Mommy and Daddy know the ABC Book by heart now, and can recite it to her without the book.

"Big Z, little z, what begins with Z? A Zizzer Zazzer Zuzz, as you can plainly see!"

5 Months Old

Briana turned 5 months old yesterday! Time is going by so fast! Briana's now working on sitting up by herself, and is getting really good at it. She really wants to crawl, but hasn't quite figured out how to get up on her hands and knees yet. For now she pushes her forehead against the floor, and pushes with her feet like an inch worm.

Just to see how big she has gotten, here is a picture of Briana at 4 weeks old with her pink bear.

Playing with Bailee, Noah and Gabe

On Sunday we went to visit Grammy and Grandpa B. Cousin Gabe was visiting and Briana had fun playing with him, unfortunately he didn't want his picture taken.

Cousins Bailee and Noah were also there, and Briana thought Bailee was pretty silly when she was making faces at her. Briana enjoyed watching Noah as he was playing. She had a lot of fun with her BIG cousins!!

Chiquita Girl

Mommy makes Briana's baby food, and on Saturday night Briana got to try bananas for the first time. Mommy was amused by the sticker on the banana, and followed the instructions. Poor Briana, her Mommy is mean to her!!!

So far Briana has tried avocado, peas, carrots, bananas, and sweet potatoes. Her favorite so far is sweet potatoes.

Another Trip to Camp...

We spent part of the weekend (Thursday night through Saturday) at camp with Grammy and Grandpa T. Briana had a lot of fun playing with Grammy and Grandpa, and really enjoyed lounging on the deck in her swing. She was really fascinated watching the water from the deck.

Happy Girl...

It's been a little while since Mommy has posted any new pictures, so here are a couple from last night. Briana enjoys sucking her thumb, but leaves all of her fingers extended as she does so. She recognizes Mommy's camera now, and promptly smiles AFTER the flash. Mommy and Daddy can't believe how fast she is growing, and how much she changes every day. She's starting to make new sounds when she is talking, and then repeats those sounds over and over.

...And This Little Piggy Tastes Like Chicken!

Briana has just discovered that if she works really hard at it, she can get her feet in her mouth! Mommy wasn't quite fast enough with the camera to get a picture of her actually sucking on her toes, but you can see the great look of accomplishment on her face from having just had her foot in her mouth.

Another of Briana's new joys is the television remote. She's fascinated by the colorful buttons, and enjoys pressing them. The phone provides her with it's own level of entertainment as well.
